I live in the oldest town west of the Rocky Mountains called Astoria, Oregon, USA. You know, where the movie Goonies was made? “Hey You Guys!” …also movies Kindergarten Cop (I met Arnold too, he’s now the Governor of California – crazy), Short Circuit (Johnny 5 is Alive), Free Willy, on and on.

It’s a cool place where I grew up. Oh yeah, it’s also where the famous Lewis and Clark ended up after pioneering the West. I recently became an uncle and this is my super cute nephew in the picture above.

My formal training is in marine resource management and Japanese carpentry construction tools and techniques. I owned a high-end construction company for 5 years at one point.

I have been a consultant to fisheries organizations and am currently finishing up a goal of mine to attain a Masters degree in Marine Resource Management from Oregon State University. I’m in the home stretch and excited to almost be finished! You can hear what my project is about at the top right side of this page where it says; My Current Project.

Lastly, I’m a self-taught blogger and have always pursued business and developing as an entrepreneur. I have done busines-to-business sales, network marketing, and am just now turning to helping local small business owners get a stronger online presence through social media combined with marketing and branding.
