We are not doomed to fail in our MLM Opportunity if we Feel Lost and Cannot Sponsor Anyone but tire kickers, slackers, and bumps on a log; a.k.a. our Family and Friends. There is no easy way to share what I’m about to tell you today.
I’m going to immediately refer to the MLM Blog which was founded in 2003 by my buddy and amazing Network Marketer Ty Tribble. His site is ranked number one on Google for “MLM Blog” and “Network Marketing Blog”.
Two weeks ago after scouring through a set of Blog Posts that Ty did on understanding MLM Compensation Plans he led me to believe that “The compensation plan is a lot less important than experts and pitch artists would lead you to believe.”
I felt motivated to comment on deciphering Compensation Plans once and for all. If you have been in the Network “MLM” Marketing world for awhile you will have undoubtedly called some of your Friends and Family to either Recruit or Word-of-Mouth Sell them on your Opportunity or Product. Typically your Upline will lend a hand by being there to do 3-way calls with you, train you on the compensation plan, and teach you about how to find the Heavy Hitters to sponsor into your business.
After we have exhausted our Warm Market we have no choice but to find new people to partner with in our business because there is no one left, or we were too shy to share our products with colleagues. This is where our industry, and Your Personality, separates the Heavy Hitters from the Total Quitters. For example, if you are in a Matrix Pay Plan and Spillover exists, meaning you can have new people Fall into Your Organization automatically when all available positions are full above you, new people will Spillover under you and increase your paychecks. However, after pushing PLAY on the call above I realized that NO Heavy Hitters are Ever going to Spillover underneath me… Why? People who have built large organizations before know something you don’t.
People at the Top Make the Money…
Anyone who is doing their due diligence on finding the right fit for a company they can join up and market is in for a rude awakening when they realize the only people that are falling in underneath them in a Matrix plan are dead beats. There’s a couple major reasons for this.
Heavy Hitters, or experienced marketers, do not sign up whimsically, but instead, they identify top reps in the company and Join @ The Top…they’ll ask You questions like
How many people do you need in your payout plan to earn a $10,000 check per month?
What do you earn per distributor every month?
Personality traits (see Below ) that We All Have lead some who have a “welfare mentality” to believe that they will receive Spillover into there business if they sign up only the 2.8 people EVER in their business, which is the industry average…ask yourself questions like
Does the best compensation plan pay you the most money for the least amount of people?
Would you continue to buy the product you represent in your income opportunity if the compensation plan was removed 100%?

My goal here with this blog post is to open your eyes to How Your Personality may or may NOT work inside a specific payout plan in your MLM company. Are you listening to the call above yet? I have NEVER seen an MLM company change their compensation structure and end up paying the distributors MORE…ever…and there is a few reasons for this. Of course the company will spin the information of a compensation plan change in a positive light, but this is not the case. Some Signs Your Network Marketing Downline Has Lost Interest.
Let me remind you ==> Dead Downlines Don’t Lie!

What I learned from my own 8 years in MLM and what Ty Tribble wrote 2 weeks ago there is 4 types of compensation plans.
1. Matrix: A fixed number of people in width and depth paying a percentage based on each spot. [discussed above]
2. Unilevel: Unlimited width with a fixed number of levels. Paying out a certain % by level. [drives the behavior of going Wide but only get paid to about 4 levels deep]
3. Binary: Two people in width and unlimited depth. Pays on volume cycles when a fixed amount of volume moves through each of the sides.
4. Stairstep Breakaway: Unlimited width with a volume based percentage payout that breaks away once a person hits a particular rank. [drives the behavior of No training because once someone gets their monthly product volume up they break away from their sponsor, which would decrease the Uplines' check]
5. On and on…but these are the 4 types of plans…which one fits your personality best?
I hope you found this post worth reading…AND…if you did…please COMMENT and share below.
***I will leave you with some food for thought today…
Is 90% of your residual income coming from new recruits or is it coming from product sales?
When the recruiting stops and your income stops too you might be in an illegal deal.
If you are in a pay plan where everyone is preaching Recruit, Recruit, Recruit, RUN for the hills F .a..s…t
Lastly, do you find your product both Unique and Consumable…?
